Directing Through Life: Importance of Faith and a Deep Connection with God

A strong faith and belief in the divine have long been a point of discussion. Be it worldly matters or discussions concerning religious aspects, faith and a deep connection with God take center stage.

Have you ever wondered about how a strong belief in the Divine directs our path to worldly life?

Faith, at its basic, is deep-rooted in the expectations of good things to come. It provides a solid base to build the foundation of a strong relationship with God and instills a sense of belief and hope in a higher being who controls everything in this world, trusting that sooner or later, everything will fall into place.

In the context of religion, faith is defining for a person. It places the person in a belief system that develops into a way of life and provides its unique system of logic to explain the phenomena of life around us. Slowly and gradually, faith settles in the way an individual directs his life, with his actions reflecting the relationship with God.

Faith in God enables humans to be thankful for the blessings they enjoy and to be patient in times of difficulty and uncertainty, for they believe that nothing can happen without His will.

Trust in the Divine Being also prompts people to be more in link with their souls and to maintain a constant connection through prayers and reflection. Ultimately, faith enables them to develop a deeper vision, one that goes beyond the sight of their eyes and the signals of their minds.

With faith, we can conceptualize the meaning of our existence in life. We humans make errors, and no matter how intelligent we are, we misjudge, mistake, and misunderstand. We can only see through the lenses of our eyes and experiences, and not how things truly are at times. We see our realities, which makes it harder for us to understand ultimate truths on our own.

Humans are intelligent, we can rationalize and follow the scientific method but we have limits to where our minds can reach, to the extent the mind can grasp. These limitations make it necessary for us to have a basis to guide us on our journey here, which is exactly why having faith is so important. Religion urges this balance between asking questions and accepting that complete understanding is beyond the limited capacity of the human mind.

Faith in God and an afterlife give us hope, positive energy, and direction. They also instill a moral framework; the belief that God is watching even when no one else is, and will hold us accountable for our deeds, enables one to maintain an ethical and righteous lifestyle despite all odds.
